Alessandra Durio is a Research Professor at the University of Torino. Her main research interest are on the use of non-parametric and robust statistical models in situations involving the study of large datasets where influential observations or outliers may be present. Furthermore, she is one of the founders of Torino R net (the first Italian local users network of the widely used open source statistical language R) and she has a long experience of computational algorithms in statistical analysis and data exploration.
